2018 Spring Ride Part 3
Before leaving Junction, we had breakfast at Isaacks and packed our bikes.
We ran into a slight snag as we prepared to leave; JR’s bike would not start. Several of us attempted to help figure out what was wrong.
The spark plugs didn’t look very good, so someone volunteered a set and installed them.
The bike still wouldn’t start after installing the spark plugs, so JR tried adding a gallon of gas and the bike started right up. He buttoned up his bike and took off for the Harley dealer in El Paso so they could fix the problem.
I did not join the main group, but chose to ride with Andy and Nancy at a more moderate pace. We planned to meet the group for lunch, but Andy missed a turn and we ended up in Del Rio. We weren’t concerned about the detour and stopped for a cup of coffee and some conversation.
We did meet the group as they were finishing lunch at the Ranch House in Sanderson, TX.
There were a couple of Blue Bonnets near the road waiting to be photographed.
We continued our ride to Ft. Davis and checked into the Stone Village Tourist Camp.
We had dinner at the fancy Blue Mountain Bistro then called it an early evening.
