This was moving day. We left Fort Davis and headed for Terlingua. I had breakfast at the drug store, then packed up and checked out.

The group ran down to Presidio, where we got gas, and then turned left on FM-170. This road runs along the Rio Grande. It twists and turns and goes over roller coaster hills. It’s one of the best rides in the country.

We stopped at an overlook to take in the scenery.

We had lunch at the Badlands Hotel in Lajitas. This is a fancy golf resort. Service was slow, but the food was good.

After checking into the El Dorado, Hotel in Terlingua Ghost Town, we spent the evening on the deck having dinner and chatting.

On the agenda for tomorrow is a ride through Big Bend National Park and lunch in Boquillas, Mexico.
