Today was a vacation day here at the resort. We had breakfast at the lodge and then rode to Fredericksburg, where we parked and walked.

The sidewalks were crowded.

I tried on a hat. (I played the Mad Hatter in a production of “Alice in Wonderland,” when I was in high school.) Whaddaya think?

I finally found the Old German Bakery and Restaurant, which I had looked for before.

We had lunch at Wheelers on Main Street.

Dinner was at the resort lodge. Meh.

Tomorrow I’m going to meander, stop at a few sights, and make my way back to Shrug’s.
