Motor Maids is the oldest women’s motorcycling organization in North America. The group was established in 1940 by Linda Dugeau and Dot Robinson with 51 members. The group has grown to over 1200 members.
The objectives of the organization are to promote safe riding habits, meet new people, and travel across North America. Every July they travel to the annual convention, which is held in a different location each year. Almost every week or weekend there are meetings or events with this group whether it is a charity event or just a ride along.
My wife has attended all but two conventions since 2006. I attended many of them with her. You can read about our travels to several conventions by following the links below.

The 2022 convention was held in Rapid City, SD. Beth was unable to attend due to the accident she suffered a month before the convention. You can read about that trip at Summer Travels 2022.

79th Annual Convention 2019
The ride to the Motor Maids convention in Temecula, CA was a major undertaking. The convention is always in July, so we prepared for some very hot weather. Our hydration cooling vests made it possible for us to cross the southwest where the temperatures rose above 100F.

On our way home from Shark Week we went to Chesnee, SC to ride in a parade honoring Motor Maid, Betty Fauls.

71st Annual Convention 2011
The Motor Maids convention was held in Grand Rapids, MI. That was a pretty easy ride for us, though Beth’s Sportster gave us a bit of trouble.
70th Annual Convention 2010
The Motor Maids Convention was held in Cody, WY. This was the longest trip we had taken up to this point.
