Fixed and Forward
The driver for Taboo Harley Arrived around 9:30 a.m. and hauled my bike to the dealership in Alexandria, LA.
I pulled the trailer with Beth’s bike. It had no problem pulling the trailer at 75-85 mph as we kept up with the driver. The motor in Beth’s bike has always seemed peppier than mine.
They couldn’t find a puncture so they soaped the tire looking for a leak. Then they found a loose valve stem. I asked them to install a right-angle valve stem I had brought along. With the new valve stem the tire held pressure just fine and the TMPS reported the expected pressure and temperature.
We booked a room in Paris, TX, which was about 270 miles northwest. We were back on the road around 1:00 p.m. It was about 95 degrees all afternoon, but there wasn’t a single drop of rain. We had a quick gas-station-picnic and kept moving.
We arrived at the hotel a little before 7:00 p.m. We were very sweaty, so showering was first on the evening agenda. We had dinner next door at a buffet restaurant. The food was just as you’d expect, but we weren’t looking for anything fancy. The bikes are bedded down for the night and we will be soon.
Glad you’re back up and running! I brought Abby home today. Hallelujah!
Nice
