Tuesday, July 5, 2011, Grand Rapids, MI. After a quick breakfast, Beth ran off to the morning meeting. I stayed in the room and cleaned up email. After the meeting was over we decided to go to the Harley dealer and have them look at Beth’s bike. It’s been spitting oil out the air cleaner even though we put less in than the book calls for.

The tech looked a the air cleaner, which was filled with oil, and recommend we get a K&N filter, which can be washed. He also noticed that the brake pads were extremely thin. So we had the air cleaner and brake pads changed.

While we were waiting we looked at the bikes. Some 2012 models are in the showrooms now.

We walked to the corner and had lunch. By the time we got back the bike was ready and we headed back to the hotel.

The next order of business was the taking of the group photo.

After that was the parade of bikes.

Finally we walked across the street to a nice restaurant for dinner with about a dozen Pennsylvania girls and good friends.

Tomorrow morning is the Dot Robinson Road Run. Stay tuned for that story. Beth will be up at 6 to get her place in the starting order.
