There is a steam-powered excursion train in Ely. This evening’s destination for the train was the golf course and the fireworks display.

We didn’t take the train, but rode our bikes to the golf course. A very nice couple sitting next to us offered us a couple of chairs. We chatted until the start of the display.

The fireworks were the best I’ve seen in many years. The best part was that we sat in what amounted to the first row with an unobstructed view.

At the hotel we took a picture of the façade all lit up.
