Wednesday Activities
The Dot Robinson Road Rally is on Wednesday morning. Beth was up at 6 am to get her starting number (34) and the rally began at 8:01 am. The DRRR is about 60 miles and riders have to average 30 mph. There are 5 hidden checkpoints. 2 points are deducted for each minute early to a checkpoint and 1 point is deducted for each minute late.
While Beth was riding the rally, I caught up on email. We went to lunch at the metric bike dealer. After lunch I took my bike to the Harley dealer and had them investigate a squeak in the rear brake. They cleaned and adjusted the caliper, but the squeak came back a little later. While I was waiting, I took a picture of a doe eying a bike she’d like to ride.
Also, I bought some oil and filters and changed the oil in both bikes back at the hotel.
The next event was the taking of the group picture of everyone and one of the Florida girls.
After the picture was the parade. The police led 200 bikes on a 12-mile route through town. The TV station interviewed the lead rider, the group’s president, Susan Gibson.
That’s Beth in the yellow helmet. Before the parade we had our picture taken on Beth’s bike.
Dinner was at the Harley dealer. They had a catered picnic and a band.
I closed the evening by adjusting my headlights; they were aimed too low.
I have enjoyed your MM blog very much. Thanks so much for being a good blogger!
