We left the bikes parked today and had a quiet day. We went to church (Beth joined Jeanie in the summer choir), caught up on some correspondence, and just chilled out. Jeanie and Lisa’s house has a yard that extends into a thicket and opens up to a shaded, walled patio beneath the pines — a great place to enjoy the quiet and a few birds chattering. The landlord, who lives in the garage apartment, has a couple of miniature poodles – Roxie and Tyrone, who are happy to sit in your lap when they are not joining the other neighbor dogs in “conversation”.
