Often you want to mount electronic gear or a camera to your bike. RAM mounts are the best in my experience. However, competitors are coming up with new products that compete with RAM. Here are some of the products I use. This is the best phone mount I’ve used. I do not recommend the X-Grip
We’ve learned recently that the vibration of motorcycle handlebars can ruin the camera on modern phones. This dampener is a recent addition to the line of products a competitor makes.
Many of the mounting kits include a U-Bolt-style handlebar mount for 1″ handlebars.
If you have a bike with handlebars that are smaller or larger than 1 inch, this clamp mount accomodates several sizes.
RAM Tough-Claw mounts work well on various sizes of handlebars and engine guards. The also work on irregularly-shaped handlebars. If you have an ATV with larger bars, the large Tough-claw may work for you.
Finally, you’ll need an arm to connect the handlebar mount to the device mount. They come in various lengths, configurations, and material. I had an arm made of composite material – it broke in a crash. Now, I generally buy arms made of aluminum. I’m not allowed to create direct links to the RAM arms, si I’ve listed competitive products.
These swivel arms give greater flexibility to positioning the device
