On to Sioux Falls
Our ride today continued on the interstates as we made our way to Sioux Falls, SD. The morning was overcast, which meant the temperature was comfortable. We encountered a few sprinkles as we missed the main part of a rain storm.
We took our morning break at a large gas station with indoor seating. You can’t beat coffee and mini Cinnabons for a morning pick-me-up.
Lunch was at a large rest area just off the interstate.
Our campground is an RV park. We are sandwiched between two large trailers.
Our 5 lb. propane tank ran out of gas this morning, so I went to the Ace hardware store just up the road to get it filled. The guy there couldn’t get it to fill, so he suggested I go to the largest Ace in town that was just a few miles away. At that store four guys tried to get it to fill and couldn’t. There may be something wrong with the valve. One of the guys put me in touch with a shop that repairs propane tanks, so I’ll take it there in the morning. In the meantime I bought a 1 lb can as our backup can is almost empty. Also, the handle of the tank came off. The screw has a safety-torx head, so I bought a set of safety-torx bits.
We decided to stay in Sioux Falls another night so we can go see the falls as well as get the tank fixed. Stay tuned.
I noticed your pool tubes on the legs of the camper. Interesting how you came about putting those there.
I saw it on YouTube. 1 pool tube cut in half. 97 cents at Walmart. It protects the legs from gravel and asphalt.
