More Convention
Wednesday, 7/12 – Convention Day 2
Beth and Lynne started the day by participating in the Dot Robinson Road Run. The DRRR is a competitive ride with timing accuracy as the goal. Participants have to ride an average of 30 mph over the course of the 2-1/2 hour route. There are 5 blind check points. Points are deducted for being late or early to a checkpoint.
The run ended up at a Yankee Candle shop, where Beth took a few pictures.
Meanwhile, back at the campground, Mike and I walked to the waterfall, and I worked on the blog and the video of the parade.
Mike and I rode into town and met Beth and Lynne at Uno Chicago Grill for dinner.
Thursday, 7/13 – Convention Day 3
The morning activity for the Motor Maids was the Annual Meeting. St. Catherine’s, ON was selected as the site for the 2026 convention.
Mike and I just hung out at the campground until it was time to go into town and join the ladies for the banquet. Before the banquet all the ladies lined up for the group photo.
The official photographer used a drone to take the photo. (No more climbing on ladders or roof-tops to get high enough to get a good shot.)
We made our way to the 3rd floor of the hotel for happy hour and later went into the banquet hall.
Lynne received an award for finishing 3rd in the DRRR. Beth finished 6th.
The meal was excellent. Here’s the program:
Mike and I left shortly after the awards and made it back to the campground before dark.
Tomorrow morning we head west to New York and north to Canada.
Wow, so many people showed up the drone picture. Thanks for lots of fun pictures of your adventure.
