Final Day to Williamsburg
It was a beautiful, cool morning as we packed up and said goodbye to our Bunk-a-Biker host.
McDonald’s was just up the road, so we had breakfast there. I used the app to order our meal. The app works, but it takes about 7.52732 times longer than just talking with a person. McDonald’s adoption of technology helps them, not their customers.
Our morning coffee break was at Dunkin’ Donuts. Today’s weather is cooler, making for a more enjoyable ride.
They had some pretty fancy chairs in the lounge – in Dunkin’ colors, of course.
Lunch was under a pavilion at the Surry County (VA) government center. We had the place to ourselves. I imagine weekdays are pretty quiet when school is still in session.
The highlight of the day was a ferry ride across the James River from Scotland to Jamestown.
Besides the two in service, they have two additional ferries ready to go.
From Jamestown it was a short trip to Beth’s mom’s home in Williamsburg.
Over the next few days family will gather for Beth’s sister’s wedding on Saturday. I’ll resume the blog after the wedding. Shark Week XIII starts Monday night, so stay tuned for that as well.

I plan on taking that ferry ride sometime next week, how much time does it take? See ya soon,,,,
It takes 15-20 minutes and leaves every half-hour.
So glad you’re on the road! And I’m pea green with envy…
Thank you. Are you hoping to meet the Jolly Green Giant?
Hey, Laurie! It’s like the green monster, but handles really well.
Go Team! You’re out there enjoying life. The ferry ride we are sure was fun! Keith & Darlene
Yes, we’re enjoying life as best we can. Thanks for checking in.
