Day 15

We had a pretty cold night in the tent, but the heater warmed us up in the morning as we got packed up. It was pretty warm by the time we were ready to leave.

We didn’t have far to go – just over to Spokane to the convention hotel. We made a couple of stops along the way, however. We rolled into the Harley dealer parking lot for a check-in, then went to a tire store to have the trailer tire that went low looked at.

While we were waiting, we went across the street to have some coffee at Molly’s reataurant.

Beth suggested we get and split and cinnamon roll. That sounded good. We figured the roll would be a typical 3-1/2 inches in diameter, like a Cinnabon. Half that would be just fine. When we ordered, the server asked if we wanted two or just one. “One,” we said. This cinnamon roll mountain arrived.

We each had a quarter of it and packed the rest into the refrigerator.

The valve stem of the tire was leaking, The store replaced it with a metal one and didn’t charge us anything!

It was still too early to check in at the hotel, so we found a park up on the hill and had our sandwiches.

We arrived at the hotel before check-in time, so we registered with the convention and hung out for a while.

We fixed dinner in the room (tuna fish on salad.) After dinner we went to a birthday party on the 12th floor. The party celebrated the 85th birthday of the Motor Maids.

There was cake and a band.

After visiting with friends and attempting to converse over the band, we headed back to the room and a comfortable bed.

Day 16 – Convention Day 1

We fixed breakfast in the room and Beth headed off to the Welcome Meeting. I did some work on the computer and paid some bills.

Sasquatch showed up for the meeting.

We didn’t do much of anything in the afternoon. The temperature is in the 90s today and there are fires in the area.

We are going to dinner with friends this evening.
