Spending the Day With An Old Friend
Today was special and was set aside to spend time with our friend, Susan and to observe our 39th wedding anniversary. We had a quick breakfast of bacon and eggs.
Went to church with Susan, where we received a blessing on our anniversary. After church we shed our riding clothes, and Susan drove us to Palisade, CO. Along the way we saw Mt. Garfield, name for the president, not the cat.
We had lunch at a brew pub, “The Brewing Company.” The beer was good, of course, and the food very filling.
After lunch we visited “The Blue Pig” art gallery, which features local artists. Their works were varied and all were very good. Beth bought a set of note cards.
I spent the rest of the afternoon installing Cardo Freecom 4+ Blu Tooth communicators on our helmets. As I mentioned earlier, we needed to abandon the Sena units we’ve used for many years because they aren’t water proof and we need to communicate when it’s raining heavily.
We had dinner and lots of conversation with Susan. When we got back to the camper, we packed and prepared to continue our journey.
Let me know if the cards are good. We upgraded to sena 50s but didnt even notice a difference so we are returning them.
So far (1 day) so good. Have to learn more about configuring them. The big advantage is that they are waterproof.
