Nevada, TX and Eureka Springs, AR
Wednesday I left Abilene late morning and rode to John and Niki’s home in Nevada, TX, northeast of Dallas. I took advantage of the motorcycle lift in John’s workshop and changed the oil in my bike.
John and Niki had a housewarming party in the early evening. Here are the guys standing around the fire cooking steaks.
After the party I rode over to Bob’s house and spent the night with him.
Bob and I got up early, picked up Colin, and rode an hour to meet the rest of the group. That’s Darrel and Janine happy as clams.
We rode back roads north, heading to Eureka Springs, AR. We stopped in Paris, TX at Nancy’s diner. The coffee was terrible, which you can tell from Darrell’s reaction, but the food and service were good.
Check out Niki’s fancy boots!
We stopped along the Pig Trail at a scenic overlook. Janine took a picture of me with my camera.
The road was very scenic with lots of twists and turns. I was told the Pig Trail is mild compared to the roads we are going to ride the next two days in northwest Arkansas. We arrived at our destination about 5 pm, checked into the hotel, met old friends and went to dinner. It’s time to retire for the night.
