Spring BBQ Run – Bonus Day
Flowers are in bloom all over Eureka Springs and north-west Arkansas. These are at the hotel. I wish I could publish the fragrance along with the pictures.
Most of the group left today for home or to continue their travels. Three of us stayed behind for another day of riding. Again, the weather was picture perfect. Ron Cushing, jrBean, and I had a leisurely breakfast before heading out. Our first stop was the Beaver bridge. jr missed Friday’s ride because he spent the day at the dealership getting his bike repaired, so he missed the bridge.
After Beaver we headed east and took another route to the Cliff House Inn. I took more pictures of the flowers in front of their parking lot.
From the Cliff House we headed south, then east, then north in a “J” pattern. Our lunch destination was the Oark General Store and CafĂ©. The store has been in existence since 1890. Our waitress, Michelle, was a hoot. She picked on jr and his “New York” accent. He’s actually from New Jersey. She kept Ron and me in stitches while she embarrassed jr.
During the final leg of our journey we were followed by a cop for about 10 miles. He didn’t catch us doing anything we shouldn’t have. We say goodbye to the Ozarks in the morning and continue our wandering.
