Riding Curves and Dodging Rain
Today we rode hundreds of curves to and from Danna’s BBQ in West Branson, MO. The radar showed no rain in the area, but the weather forecast was for rain to start late morning. Everyone donned rain suits at a gas station as it started to sprinkle. Naturally, the rain promptly stopped.
We rode to an overlook on MO-39. The view of the valley (above) was impressive, but it would have been stunning if it had been sunny and clear.
One of the guys had a drone and flew it for awhile, taking a video of the area. It was fun to watch him fly it.
After lunch we rode the same route back to Eureka Springs. We considered going to the “Golden Gate Bridge,” but it started raining just before we got there, so we skipped seeing the bridge. (The bridge has a wooden deck and would have been pretty slippery.)
This is a picture of the bridge from two years ago.
After we returned we sat on the hotel porch and shot the breeze until it started raining hard. We had left-overs for dinner and spent the evening napping, watching TV, and shooting the breeze some more.
Tomorrow we’ll ride some more curves and go to lunch in Fayetteville.
