Summer Travels 2025
Soon we will be leaving on our summer motorcycle adventure. Our itinerary includes the Motor Maids convention in Spokane, WA and Shark Week XV in Asheville, NC.
going West we’ll be going diagonally across the county with stops in Columbus, GA, Batesville, MS, Springfield, MO, Omaha, NE, the Black Hills, etc.

We’ve been packing and checking off all the items on our lists. I’m managing everything that goes in the trailer and Beth is handling all the food items. We are just about ready and will be leaving in a few days.
Over the past month I’ve been making additional modifications to my bike.
I wore down the rear brake pads too far and ruined one of the rotors. The pads are really too small for this size trike. They lasted only 8,000 miles.

I ordered new rotors from Italy (had to pay 10% tariff) and new pads.

After the Harley dealer converted the bike’s computer from 2-wheel settings to 3-wheel settings, an error code appeared, (B2226) and the code could not be cleared. The code indicates that the Bank Angle Sensor (BAS) circuit is open. Apparently trikes have an external BAS, which the 2-wheeler does not have.

EurowingUSA finally found a solution , They supplied a voltage divider that applies 0.6 volts to pin B-4 of the Body Control Module (BCM). That voltage fools the BCM into thinking there is a BAS present and it’s OK.

I had to insert the pin into location B-4 of the BCM connector.

The trike does not accommodate an ABS sensor on the rear axel. The ABS function was disabled, but the ABS light remained on. The solution was to mount the rear ABS sensor on the front wheel to fool the BCM into thinking the rear sensor was installed and working and make the ABS light go out.

I had a machine shop cut down the stock spacer to allow for the width of the sensor.

The last major thing I did was replace the trailer wiring interface module that was malfunctioning.
After those changes and an oil change, the bike was ready to go.
Follow along as we brave the summer heat and storms. We’re glad you are here.
Looking forward to following the latest travels!!!

Great’make-ready’ repairs! I’m sure Beth has all the food supplies handled as well..
See you in Spokane!
Yes, she has the food ready to go. I’ll plug in the refrigerator tomorrow and get it down to temp. See you for sure.

Hi Tim hope all is well with you and Beath. I’m still having a hard time getting Diane in the mood for the long rides and it seems that we have been so busy lately that we are hardly riding locally but I sure miss it! Looking forward to following your adventures. Gary
Thanks Gary. Ride safe when you do ride.
Tim ….. Found your videos and site when I bought a TTSE in April. Been a BIG help. Your 2025 trip brings you to MS …. we’re in Starkville with plenty of room if you need/want a stop here. Steve TT&GL
Thank you, Steve. I’ll create a pin in BaseCamp.
