Oops – USA Four Corners Journal Day 10
At 6:00 a.m. I thought I was off to an early start with a jump on the traffic, but then, 35 miles down the road, oops! I realized I left my laundry hanging on the shower curtain rod. Back I went to retrieve it. My second start was 8:00 a.m. (Sigh)
I encountered rain off and on all day. The first was at Scranton, then on I-87 North. I had the rain suit on and off most of the day. The ride from Bennington to Brattleboro was rainy with fog at the higher elevations. It’s a beautiful ride when it’s sunny, but not in the fog. Finally it rained from Claremont, NH to Sunapee.
There were a lot of bikes on the road today. Everyone is heading for Americade.
I wonder what the connection is between Uncle Sam and Troy, NY. I’ll have to look it up. I have limited internet access here, so the pictures will go up the next opportunity I get to connect my laptop. I’m not sure what access I’ll have in Canada with my air card.
I’m staying with my in-laws this evening. My father-in-law will transport my new tires to Lebanon in the morning to have them put on. I’ll get an oil change as well. Then it’s on to Canada.
