Trip Routing Programs
For those of you who like to plan your travel routes ahead of time and put them in your GPS you’ll find my videos on trip routing programs very helpful. Whether you have a Garmin GPS or a GPS built into the entertainment system on your bike, the instructions in these videos will simplify the process of creating a route and transferring it to your GPS.
Garmin Base Camp™ Tutorials
BaseCamp™ from Garmin has a reputation for being difficult to use. There’s no doubt is has a steep learning curve and does not operate the way other programs work. BaseCamp does have some big advantages. The biggest advantage is that you don’t have to be connected to the internet to use it. Secondly, you can view multiple routes on the screen at one time. Finally, it integrates seamlessly with a Garmin GPS.

Tyre 2 Navigate
Tyre 2 Navigate has been around since 2004 and is one of the easiest programs to use. It has many useful features and integrates with either a Garmin or a Tom Tom GPS. It uses Google Maps or Open Source Maps, so you have to be connected to the internet to use it.

Harley Ride Planner
The Harley Ride Planner is a simple route planning website. Saved routes can be transferred to a 2014-2018 Infotainment System using a thumb drive. For 2019+ bikes with the Infotainment System the routes can be transferred to the by using the Harley smartphone app.

I have used the ride planner on 2015 ultra limited and had many problems with the route always telling me to do a u-turn and didn’t know why so I got frustrated and stopped using it. I will try to skip the way point to see if this works correctly. – Jessman.
