Time with Ross
Sunday, July 10, 2011 – Norfolk, CT. I was to meet Ross at 9:00 a.m. for breakfast, so, of course, I woke at the usual time – 6:00 a.m. The camp was very quiet. A couple of people were packing up in stealth mode, but everyone else was sleeping. Here are a few scenes.
Ross and I met for breakfast in Canaan, CT. Afterward we walked around town. It was “Railroad Days.” A couple of model train clubs were running trains in the RR station.
This is the house where Ross is staying.
We went into the original, Victorian mansion of the estate. The rooms are being renovated. With all the dark wood it was difficult to get good shots, even with a flash, but you can get an idea of the opulence.
Next it was off to the retirement community where the quartet played an “outreach” concert.
The Tesla Quartet, Ross 1st violin, Michelle 2nd violin, Kim cello, and Megan viola.
To end the day Ross and I went to dinner. After I upload this, I’m going back to the campground.
Beth reported they got on the road at 7:00 a.m. and she got home at 1:00 p.m. There was rain in N. Saint Petersburg, so she was drying out the clothes again.
