Again this year I did some independent riding. Bob and I participated in the IBA Daytona Party and Jim and I rode together to Arkansas and West Texas. My wife and I rode to the Motor Maids convention and to Shark Week VIII.

IBA Grand Tour 1000

Each year the Iron Butt Association hosts the Daytona “Party” with 1000-mile and 1500-mile routes. Bob and I did the 1000-mile Grand Tour.

Eureka Springs, AR and Terlingua, TX

My friend, Jim, and I met in Florida and rode to Eureka Springs and then to Terlingua, TX and Big Bend National Park.

The Motor Maids convention was relatively close to home in Montgomery, AL.

Road Glide National Rally

Shark Week VIII was in Durango, CO. My wife and I had a great time riding a portion of Route 66, touring New Mexico and Arizona, and riding through some of Colorado’s smaller mountains.

There was on more major ride in 2018, that I didn’t write about, but it shows up on the map. I rode Triump Trophy to Philadelphia to give it to my son, who purchased it.
