Hi Tim,
I just discovered your videos and they are fantastic!
I have a question regarding creating, and then splitting, a route. In your example, the initial route was from Amarillo to Flagstaff. After adding your waypoints, you split the route into three segments, one for each of the three day trip.
I like that method because Basecamp asks you if you want routes to share a waypoint; Yes. In this manner, the routes are seamless.
However, would you recommend this method for a long, say, cross-country trip? In other words, create a route from New York to Los Angeles as a single route (complete with many waypoints) and then split into, say, 10 routes? Somehow that seems risky because the distance is so long.
I don’t even know why I think doing that for a long trip would be risky, but then I have no experience in this yet.
Thank you!
You might start by creating an end-to-end route and splitting it to get an idea of where you might stop each day. Then in another folder you can build the final daily routes.
Good plan, will do. Thank you sir!

Tim
