Heading Home, Second Leg
Yesterday was Mother’s Day, which I spent with John and Nikki in Nevada, TX. We had coffee, went out for brunch, and just relaxed. John and I fixed an electrical problem on my bike. One of the technicians reversed the leads to the Moto Lights when he connected them to the battery. After we got that squared away I cleaned off a bunch of bugs. In the evening we watched a Bruce Willis movie, “The Cold Light of Day.” It was entertaining, but only so-so.
This morning I packed up early and got on the road by 7:30 a.m. I ran into Dallas traffic, but once I got past that I had pretty smooth sailing.
My new favorite road is I-49 from Shreveport to Lafayette. It’s lightly traveled and has a 75 mph speed limit.
This evening I’m in Mandeville, LA with Skip and Karen. Tomorrow is the last day of this trip. Stay tuned for my next trip to Rolling Thunder.
