Peaceful, Easy Feelin’
After breakfast we packed up everything, loaded the bikes and trailer, and headed out. It felt great to get back on the road.
Beth is going through the break-in routine. She varies her speed, and we stop every 100 miles to let the motor cool down.
By now you know our routine: morning coffee break, lunch break, afternoon coffee break.
Morning break…
Lunch in a school parking lot. (I missed the turnoff to the roadside table.)
Afternoon break at a gas station. 87 octane was $4.10. 91 octane was $5.01. (The bikes can’t use 87 octane.)
While we were sitting at the table enjoying the coffee, we decided to find a campground for the night. We found one north of Iowa City near Coralville Dam. It’s a lovely site and a great campground.
Tomorrow – Minneapolis.
Good to see Beth smiling.
Big thumbs👍
Well shoot, if I had known you were so close I’d have dropped by for a visit.
Glad you guys are back on the road and, hopefully, will not be troubled by gremlins again! Thanks for sharing the adventure with us!
Thanks for following us.
I’m sorry we didn’t know you live nearby. See you in Appleton.
