  1. Hello Tim,

So sorry to hear about Beth’s accident. 8 broken ribs will take a little while to heal that’s for sure. Talk to the local dealer about having her bike crated up just like how they are delivered to the dealer from the factory. Then you need to call a freight company that provides LTL (less than load service) between Billings and where you live in Florida. If you ship direct from the dealer to dealer they will have the forklift to load and unload at each end. Saves you the hassle of having to receive a damaged bike at home and then move a damaged bike to your local dealer. I don’t know what freight charges would be in the U.S. but it would run about 1 – 1.2K to ship coast to coast up here in Canada. Crating the bike will help protect it from any further damage. If you call a car or bike forwarder they usually have to drive the units on and off the trailers and they may not be willing in this case because of the damages already on the bike.

  2. Keeping you both in thoughts and prayer. Will keep my ears to the ground on a way home for Beth’s bike. Cindy B. will keep you sheltered and fed. She’s a good soul. Love you guys!!

  3. Gentle hugs and prayers! Please let us know if we can help? Maybe the auto train can get the bikes home more effectively?

  17. As so many have already said, Annamarie and I are so sorry to hear about Beth’s crash and injuries. We wish her a speedy recovery and hope everything heals to perfection! Not sure there’s much we can do from here but if we can help in any way, please don’t hesitate to ask. Take good care and safe travels home.

  18. Thank you everyone. Beth’s surgery went well. They put 2 screws in her pelvis. The shoulder should heal on its own. She has to stay off her feet for 6 weeks.
We are grateful for your love and concern.

  19. I rode into Billings with a mechanical issue and the HD dealer was very good. You may get some help from them. Billings is good size city so services or otherwise should be good. I rode out of Yellowstone to Gardner and the road was closed for a mud slide, it all worked out but I was pins and needles riding down the mountain out of Yellowstone. The road was wet and brown from the soil but the Dunlap tires did stick. You never know what you will encounter on a motorcycle trip. Beth most likely has titanium screws which are the most common fasteners the orthopedic surgeons use. Give you a lot of credit to post after what you have been through.

  20. So sorry to hear about this unfortunate accident!!! Wish her the quick and uncomplicated recovery. Sending you both much love! – michelle Lie
