Update – Recovery 9 – Good Days
Beth has had a couple of really good days. She’s fully participating in her OT and PT. She’s feeling better and eating better. Today they showed me how to give her the shots of anti-blood clot medicine.
Today she wore one of the three dresses her mother sent her. Thank you, Betty.
She has received some very nice gifts.
Here are a few shots of the therapy gym.
They showed me how to push Beth up and down a ramp and how to do it herself.
Outside, she went up and down a sidewalk ramp.
I mailed Beth’s riding pants to Aerostich for repair, cleaning, and waterproofing. We also did the paperwork to request release of her medical records and scans from the hospital.
The shipper picked up her bike this afternoon. It will go from here to Milwaukee, then be put on a truck to Orlando, and delivered from there. The driver said the company is very busy and they have 50 trucks on the road. Each truck can hold 30 to 50 bikes!
Beth is on track to meet with the orthopedist on the 22nd and, if cleared, we will return to St. Pete on the 23rd.

Glad Beth is progressing. I know it isn’t easy though. I’ve done a little with wheelchairs now and then. A new part of the adventure will begin when you get home. Good luck with the doctor’s visit. I’m sure both of you are anxious to leave Billings.
