On to a Weekend of Relaxation
On Friday we rode from western New York to the Thousand Islands and up to Sharbot Lake, ON.
We stopped for coffee at one of the rest areas on the New York Thruway.

We had lunch at one of the text stops, which are pull-offs that allow folks to make phone calls or text and NOT while driving. I think we won’t do that again as there were no facilities other than the picnic tables.

We had no trouble crossing into Canada, but the agent scowled as he processed us.

We rode through downtown Sharbot, checked out the grocery store, bought some beer, and got some cash before heading to the marina. The guys at the marina let us park our bikes in their Quonset hut and took our luggage down to the dock. Tommy ferried us over to the island where Beth’s cousin has a lake house.

We spent the weekend relaxing. I caught up on the blog and Beth did some reading.
Our host took us out in the boat for a tour of the lake.

Monday, we head to St. Catharines for the Motor Maids convention.
What a lovely house. Thanks for bringing us along.
Our host and the home were very welcoming.
What a beautiful area! So happy for you! Now the most important thing: how much cooler is it there? I see Beth has a jacket.
Temps at night were in the 50s and for a brief time in the afternoon, low 80s.
