Summer Travels 2026
Soon we will be leaving on our summer motorcycle adventure. Our itinerary includes the Motor Maids convention in St. Catherines, ON and Shark Week XVI in Loveland, CO. We’ll make a big loop and visit friends along the way.

Beth grew up in Pittsburgh, and we lived there for 20 years. Our home was near US-19 and our home here in Florida is also just a half-mile from US-19. Beth has long wanted to ride the entire length or Route 19 from the southern end in Manatee County, Fl to the northern end in Erie, PA. Since we are heading that way, this is the year to do it.

Since our camping trailer is really too heavy for our bikes, we’ve purchased a small utility trailer to carry our camping gear. We’ll be staying in motels on the hottest days and visiting friends along the way, but there may be a few opportunities in cooler climes to pitch a tent and camp.
I’ve done a lot of fixing up on the trailer. It needed to have a few cracks in the aluminum body welded and new tires, lug nuts, safety chains, and wiring. I added a solar panel and aluminum tray for the refrigerator. We have a lot of stuff, but it will be much lighter than the camper.
Over the winter I had the motor of my motorcycle rebuilt. The displacement was increased from 103 to 107 cu. in. and the internals were beefed up. It should handle the mountains and the trailer very well.
We hope you follow our adventure again this year and perhaps we’ll get to see you in person as well.
Have a great trip, see you in Loveland.
Thanks, Mike.
Have a safe trip!
Will do. Thanks, Matt.
Definitely ill be following . your travels. I love what you are doing. Enjoy. Love and prayers Marilyn
Thanks so much and we hope you have a great “special” birthday.
I had a good summer
Thank you.
Little trailer looks great. Did you sell the camper? Is the camper too large for all size motorcycles?
The camper is for sale. A newer Harley with a bigger engine or a Gold Wing could pull it easily.
Good luck and safe travels,I will be following along.!
Thanks. Good to hear from you, Mark.
